"It seems that when John D. Whilden son of Agnes Nugent (Whilden) married Florence Peters from Tuckerton (He was in the Coast Guard and stationed there at the time he met her). it caused hard feelings with his sister (Almeda) as she didn't approve of the marriage. Well, anyway they got into a heated argument one day not too long after the marriage. Florence spoke up to Almeda and told her she needn't think she was so much as her Mothers, Father and Mother were never married. She said James Nugent had been married before and had several children. He died the same year my Mother was born or shortly after which would put it into the year 1879 or 1800. It seems there was a large sum of money involved as the Nugent were pretty well to do at that time but when James Nugent died Ella Errickson, by law , didn't have a leg to shand on and his first wife stepped in and claimed it all, leaving Ella E. with nothing and she either died when my mother (Namoi) was born or shortly after. ( Could be both died the same year." Personal Coorespondence from Agnes Sept 2, 1972."You say your cousin Agnes Whildin is the daughter of Naomi Nugent Townsed. I wonder how she might be related to John D. Whildin. He was a cousin of James Nugent who moved to West Creek in the 1920's or before. Hje and his wife came from Delmont N.J. which is not far from Millville. Then later they move to Leesburg Nj and she die., her name was Florence. I don't know her maiden name but she had a sister married to an Eastlake and lived in Pleasantvill, NJ" Coorespondence from Geneva M Thorn Jan 26, 1968.

Burried in Leesburg Methodist Cemetary."Naomi lived with Aunt Agnes in Delmont. Then Sam Fosther took her. He had a dry goods store in Heisterville and as far as we know he was no relation, Naomi married Charles C Lee at a youg age and went to live with his mother, the first real home she ever had."
