Eloise continues to be cheerful and exuberant. She loves exploring her environment, and interacting with people.
This seems to be Eloise's favorite mode of movement when she is excited. She gets up on her knees and struts with gusto... much to the amusement of everyone who has witnessed it.
The stacking rings have been Eloise's favorite toy this month. As the month began, she was fascinated with removing the rings. Soon she was trying to put them back on, and she would get really worked up when she missed. Now she gets the rings on again easily, and willl spend time stacking and restacking until she finds a way to fit them all back on.
August 23, 2005. Eloise enjoys walking. She likes to have someone hold her hands and walk around the house with her.
August 28, 2005. For the las few days Eloise has been experimenting with walking on her own. She now takes 2-5 steps between objects. She is getting better at stopping and staying on her feet.
Eloise loves her books. She frequently brings us a book to read to her. She also enjoys looking at them on her own. She will sit on the floor and study a page intently, and then turn the page. Of course, you can't appropriately appreciate a book while it is on the shelf, so she scoops her books off the shelf with great enthusiasm, several times a day.
