April 12th 2005

Eloise finished up her 6th month by producing a second tooth. It came in about April 2nd. We didn't notice it until it was cut, she didn't complain about it at all.

Eloise not only waves her toys around like a maniac, she also takes breaks to study them intently

With a variety of cereal, fruits and vegetables now in her diet, Eloise enjoys her mealtimes

Eloise is comfortably sitting on her own. She can reach for toys without losing her balance most of the time. She seems to be pleased with her new skill and new perspective (aprrox. April 14)

Eloise has overcome her intial dubiousness toward nature (see 5 months) and now gleefully reaches for flowers and leaves. We let he destory this iris as a special treat (mostly because her mother bent the stalk while bringing it closer, so it was a doomed flower anyway). She had a wonderful time. (April 17)

This has become a frequent pose for Eloise. She is rolling freely now, and will often stop on her side to take a look around, converse with anyone near by, or check out that toy she just rolled over. (approx. May 1)

Just another pretty picture

Eloise loves chasing her rubber duck around her bathtub. I think she is amazed at how differently floating toys behave. But the lastest thing to catch her eye is falling water. We can spend a good hunk of bath time keeping her enthralled as she tries to catch water (May 4)

Eloise enjoyed a vist from Grandma Eatough and Holly this month. She loved all the extra attention (May 7)

After a rocky stretch, Eloise has warmed up to her Grandpa Jones. We went through a phase where she burst into tears every time he talked to her, but this time she greeted him with a smile (May 8)
