Eloise and Abby spent a happy Saturday morning practicing their twirls and jumps and enjoying some silly music (Sandra Boynton's Blue Moo)
Abby loves otter pops, but likes to have them wrapped up in a towel.
Running, splasing, stopping for a drink.
After nearly 2 1/2 years of life, Abby finally has bed head. We are so proud!
Abby and Eloise were both thrilled when I pulled out some new things for them to wear. We are so glad Grandma saved the beautiful dresses she made when she had little girls!
What is spring time without a good mud cake.
Robert tackled the stump in our front yard. Thanks!
Eloise felt an irrestible pull from the big dirt hole where the tree stump used to be.
Abby tries her hand at dying, Dad runs egg protection.
Eloise spent more time working on the colors she liked, and on some two-tone effects.
Abby was delighted with the Easter morning egg hunt. She was also delighted to repeat the process again and again all afternoon long... in the living room, outside, in her room, all over the house.
Eloise was pleased she found enough eggs to fill her basket. What hasn't quite registered to her six-year-old brain is that while there were a ton of plastic eggs, there really wasn't that much candy inside. I am glad she is still at the age where she loves the adventure.
Abby was also delighted with her basket of eggs.
These are dresses Grandma made 10 years ago for my nieces when Robert and I were married. It was very sweet to be able to dress my girls in them.
Above all else, Eloise was thrilled to have her very first nail polish in her Easter basket. I was sure she was going to go for the blue glitter polish, but she chose pink.
Abby was beside herself with joy to try on her pretty "ballerina" dress. She has been obsessed with dancing and skirts lately. However, her dance style is still more "bystanders take cover" rather than sweet and delicate.
