Working on hair.
Abby loves her sister's braids. Sometimes her sister is okay with that. Usually I have to save Eloise from overzealous love. |

|
California Rainbow.
We don't often see rainbows here, so even a dim one is a treat. |

Valentine's Day Style.
Both picked out their own ensembles. |

Valentine's Day
Notice the 2 teeth on the top (front and incisor), so loose they are sticking out. |

Front tooth gone.

2nd tooth gone.
February 16. Bringing Eloise to a total of 5 teeth lost thus far. |

All tucked in.
Abby arrayed her stuffed animals for a nap, and then joined them. |

Disney Afternoon with friend.
We borrowed Eloise's best friend for an afternoon at Disneyland. Their favorite part... riding with just the two of them. |

Happy Abby.

Pirate Girls
In spite of the fact that Disney claims the Columbia is a respectable merchant ship, the girls all said "let's ride the pirate ship." |

Reading.
It is so fun that Eloise has reached the point where she is comfortable with chapter books. She likes to read me parts when she finds something funny. It is very sweet. |

Can we play in the rain?
With the umbrellas of course. |

Tightrope walk
Eloise wanted to host a circus on a Saturday afternoon. Here she is practicing for her tightrope walk. |

Work in the yard.
We cleaned up the parking strip and added some stepping stones. We planted the big aloes and the jade tree a couple years ago. The girls are thrilled with the stones. |
|
|
|
More stepping stones.
Even better than the parking strip, a big long row of stepping stones along the driveway. The girls love hopping up and down the row. |
|
|
|
Mossy spot.
This is Abby's favorite mossy spot, under our neighbor's tree. Both girls love to visit, collect acorns, and walk on the moss in their bare feet. |
