Changing a 4-shaft huck threading into an 8-shaft huck draft.

Draft from Davison, page 79. Norse Huck-A-Back

I have added plain weave to the edges (yellow).  This is the way I prefer to weave Huck, with floats in the weft direction.  I find it easier to tell where I am in the pattern repeat. 

Same draft with the shafts rearranged so that it is easier to understand the 8-shaft version. 

Now for the 8-shaft version.  It takes more warp threads to show the whole repeat. 

This is a variation in treadling to produce a little diamond design.  There are many things you could design.
